Testimonials
I
have been an NVC trainer candidate for three years and have both offered and
received telephone empathy from Craig on a weekly basis. We first met in a
practice group a year ago. Ever since, his commitment and learning have
grown.
I
have appreciated his presence with difficult issues and willingness to go
into unfamiliar territory without losing connection, interest, and the
ability to offer empathy.
With Craig, I have been able to explore some issues that have escaped me
before. I detect in Craig a deep earnestness in wanting to walk his talk
and in finding new ways to expand his experience, knowledge and commitment
to facilitating others in their pain and their growth.
It has been a pleasure anticipating our regularly appointed
phone connection!

For as long as
I can remember, I’ve been striving for greater mindfulness in my
relationships. I want to be able to connect with people on a deep level
rather than just report the events of my life and passively listen as
others reciprocate by reporting the events of theirs. Despite the
earnestness of this desire, I often find myself triggered into anger,
resentment, or worse, fear and unworthiness.
Then Craig
introduced me to Nonviolent Communication and the empathy buddy process,
and I find myself empowered and able to live mindfully more than ever
before. I now know to search for the roots of anger and resentment in my
own unmet needs and then to explore how my friendships with others serve
me as strategies to meet my needs and their own. I feel as if a whole new
world has opened up to me where I can feel more authentic and present.
I find myself
reaching out and mending the little hurts I’ve created for myself by being
unable to express my feelings and needs to those I love. Just so happens
that the people who trigger me the most happen to be those closest to me,
so the empathy buddy process gives me greater and greater ability to see
the emotional triggers as they arise and be able to relate to others from
a place of expanded awareness and acceptance.
Thank you Craig
for helping me find this way of mindfulness, empowerment, and connection.
